Recap: Aquin Catholic Bulldogs vs. Pearl City Wolves

In what's become a running theme this season, the Aquin Catholic Bulldogs gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They blew past Pearl City 51-20 at home. Given Aquin Catholic's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while Pearl City is ranked 521st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Aquin Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Meghan Carlisle, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. It was the first time this season that Carlisle scored 15 or more points. Megan Holder was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.

Aquin Catholic used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Pearl City. And. Kylie Wolfe made the most of the opportunity, scoring four points. A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.

Aquin Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season. As for Pearl City, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 17 of their last 19 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-24 record this season.
