Football Game Preview: Marlboro Central Dukes vs. Saugerties Sawyers

The Marlboro Central Dukes will square off against the Saugerties Sawyers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Marlboro Central's defense has only allowed 9.6 points per game this season, so Saugerties' offense will have their work cut out for them.

On Friday, Marlboro Central was just a hair shy of victory and fell 15-14 to New Paltz.

Although Marlboro Central took the loss, they still got scores from Jack Buzzurro and Mateo Sajous.

Meanwhile, Saugerties fell victim to Chester-Seward and their airtight defense on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 33-0 loss at the hands of the Hambletonians. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Sawyers were not able to get on the board.

Marlboro Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Saugerties, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2.

Marlboro Central came up short against Saugerties in their previous matchup back in September, falling 7-0. Can the Dukes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
