Recap: Academy of Aerospace and Engineering Jets vs. Weaver Beavers
The Academy of Aerospace and Engineering Jets pushed their score all the way to 57 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a hard 75-57 fall against Weaver. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Academy of Aerospace and Engineering in their matchups with Weaver: they've now lost five in a row.
Weaver got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Fazal Khan out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 18 rebounds. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for him. Madden Cupe was another key contributor, scoring 21 points.
Academy of Aerospace and Engineering's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2-1. As for Weaver, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Academy of Aerospace and Engineering is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Capital Prep at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th. As for Weaver, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Conard at 6:00 p.m.
