Logan DeMarzo commands the offense for a Warriors win

Recap: Nipmuc Regional Warriors vs. Douglas Tigers

The Nipmuc Regional Warriors had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with a 59-49 victory over Douglas. That's another feather in the cap for Nipmuc Regional, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Nipmuc Regional's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Logan DeMarzo , who scored 20 points. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Kelly, who scored 17 points.

Douglas lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Adam Dunphy, who scored 15 points. The game was Dunphy's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Isaac Gosselin , who scored 12 points.

Nipmuc Regional's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Douglas, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nipmuc Regional will take on Hopedale at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Douglas, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Whitinsville Christian at 6:30 p.m. on January 5th. Whitinsville Christian is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
