Baseball Recap: S & S Consolidated Comes Up Short

S & S Consolidated was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Pottsboro Cardinals, falling 21-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 last Tuesday.

S & S Consolidated's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-7. As for Pottsboro, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3-1.

Looking ahead, S & S Consolidated will venture away from home to face off against Blue Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pottsboro, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-2 win against Tom Bean on the 22nd.
