Basketball Recap: Candlelight Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Candlelight Christian Academy played a tough match on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Florida College Academy Falcons, falling 40-17. The Flames' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Skyler Taylor was Candlelight Christian Academy's leading scorer, having posted 12 points. Taylor also led the team in rebounds with eight.

Florida College Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ava Edwards, who posted eight points. Serena Haddad was another key player, putting up four points and seven rebounds.

Candlelight Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Florida College Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Winter Haven Christian the next time they take the court. Florida College Academy will head out to face Winter Haven Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Candlelight Christian Academy will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
