Basketball Recap: New Philadelphia Comes Up Short

After flying high against West Holmes last Tuesday, New Philadelphia came back down to earth. The New Philadelphia Quakers took a 55-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mansfield Senior Tygers on Saturday. The Quakers haven't had much luck with the Tygers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

New Philadelphia's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Mansfield Senior, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

New Philadelphia will square off against Alliance at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mansfield Senior, they will take on Wooster at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
