Football Recap: Darlington Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

Darlington and Aquinas squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Darlington had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Fightin' Irish, falling 52-21. The Tigers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Darlington lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jayce Donaldson, who rushed for 93 yards and one score on only six carries. Myles Twyman was another key player, rushing for 60 yards and one TD.

Aquinas was led to victory by Christian Kates and Turner Stevenson. Kates gained 183 total yards, while Stevenson threw for 316 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. That's the most passing touchdowns Stevenson has posted since back in September.

Darlington's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Aquinas, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.

Darlington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Aquinas, they will face off against Whitefield Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
