Football Recap: Mulberry Extends Road Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Mulberry's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 21-14 victory over the North Port Bobcats. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bobcats, too.

Mulberry can attribute much of their success to Jaidyn Duvalt, who rushed for 43 yards and a pair of scores. What's more, Duvalt racked up 21 receiving yards, the most he's had since back in August. Josiah Cobbett got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Mulberry pushed their record up to 4-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.7 points on average over those games. As for North Port, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mulberry will host Lake Region at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will be up against the Thunder's rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.89 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for North Port, they will challenge Lemon Bay at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats' defense better be ready for this one: the Manta Rays have averaged an impressive 31 points per game this season.
