Basketball Recap: Renaissance Comes Up Short

Renaissance suffered their closest defeat since December 30, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of the St. Mary's Prep Eaglets by a score of 76-73. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Sunday (69), the Phoenix still had to take the loss.

Renaissance's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for St. Mary's Prep, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-6.

Coming up, Renaissance will face off against Fitzgerald at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Renaissance's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for St. Mary's Prep, they will take on Tournament Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
