Softball Recap: Mountain Home Takes a Loss

Mountain Home extended their losing streak to seven on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 6-13 in the process. They came up short against the Burley Bobcats, falling 14-0. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 19-1 to the Bobcats when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Orie Rau made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one triple.

As for Burley, they now have a winning record of 9-8. That 14 run margin sets a new team best for them this season.

On Burley's side, Adalynn Olmos made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Olmos has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Burley got a massive performance out of Marhi Robins, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave Robins a new career-high. Aaliyah Olmos was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Burley beat Mountain Home by a score of 18-8 later that day.
