Basketball Recap: Prince George Comes Up Short

After flying high against Colonial Heights last Thursday, Prince George came back down to earth. The Prince George Royals took a blow against the Hanover Hawks on Monday, falling 70-37.

Prince George dropped their record down to 10-10 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Hanover, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Prince George will take on Matoaca at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Matoaca is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.4 points per game this season. As for Hanover, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Armstrong at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hanover knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Armstrong likes a good challenge.
