Baseball Game Preview: Lafayette County Huskers vs. Lone Jack Mules

Lafayette County took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 13-8 win over Marshall. The victory continues a trend for the Huskers in their matchups with the Owls: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Lone Jack got the win against Adrian on Saturday by a conclusive 12-1. Considering the Mules have won 16 matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Lone Jack pushed their record up to 24-4 with the win, which was their 28th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 9.0 runs this season. As for Lafayette County, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
