Softball Recap: Malden's Winning Streak Snapped at Seven Games

If Malden was feeling good fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Senath-Hornersville on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Green Wave came up short against the Neelyville Tigers on Saturday, falling 12-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Green Wave were not able to get on the board.

Malden moved to 17-6 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak. As for Neelyville, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Malden wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-9 victory against Van Buren on the 26th. As for Neelyville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-5 defeat against Clearwater on the 26th.
