Basketball Recap: San Isidro Comes Up Short

San Isidro extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Friday, dropping them down to 0-6. They had to suffer through a 68-24 loss at the hands of the Raymondville Bearkats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bearkats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-38 last Saturday.

As for Raymondville, their win bumped their record up to 4-1. That 44 point margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Raymondville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayton Alfaro, who went 6-for-9 en route to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Mendez, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds.

San Isidro has already played their next matchup (against Progreso), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Raymondville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 43-17 loss against Freer on the 5th.
