Volleyball Game Preview: La Joya Coyotes vs. Warren Warriors

The La Joya Coyotes will face off against the Warren Warriors at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Warren took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on La Joya, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, La Joya turned things around against Economedes on Friday. They won by a set and slipped past the Jaguars 3-2.

La Joya was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (113-109), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 20-25, 26-24, 20-25, 27-25, 16-14.

Meanwhile, Warren was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Central Heights, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Warriors have suffered since October 25, 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-16, 25-17.

La Joya's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 11-14. As for Warren, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-10.
