Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lewis County). They breezed past the Liberty Mountaineers to the tune of 91-28 on Saturday. Given the Minutemen's advantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Mountaineers are ranked 113th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lewis County was led to victory by Kenzie Egress and Ella Pinkney. Egress went 6-for-8 en route to 12 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals, while Pinkney went 6-for-8 to rack up 14 points and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Egress a new career-high in shooting accuracy (75%). Paelyn Hinkle was another key player, putting up 11 points and six assists.
