It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but First Colonial ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tallwood Lions, sneaking past 7-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-4 two weeks ago.

The win got First Colonial back to even at 10-10. As for Tallwood, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-10.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. First Colonial is set to square off against their familiar foe Salem at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Tallwood will face off against rival Kellam at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lions 3.9, the Knights 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
