They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the Two Eagle River Eagles. One positive for the Panthers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Dayani Piapot was the offensive standout of the game as she almost dropped a triple-double with 14 points, nine rebounds, and nine steals. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Keke Tenas, who posted 17 points and five steals.
Alberton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Two Eagle River, their victory bumped their record up to 3-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alberton will welcome Valley Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Two Eagle River, they will host Seeley-Swan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Seeley-Swan will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Two Eagle River surely won't give up without a fight.
