Baseball Recap: Sunrise Mountain's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Sunrise Mountain entered their tilt with Lutheran on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 17-13 win over the Lutheran Lions.

Jorge Campillo was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Heid, who scored two runs while going 2-for-5.

Sunrise Mountain pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sunrise Mountain will welcome Chaparral at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lutheran, they will face off against Santa Fe South at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Lutheran is facing Santa Fe South at the right time seeing as Santa Fe South is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
