Baseball Recap: Lebanon Snaps 11-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Lebanon's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They blew past the J.P. McCaskey Red Tornado 16-9. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cedars considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Diego Serrano was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Serrano was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in five of his seven plate appearances.

In other batting news, Lebanon got a massive performance out of Ben DiScuillo, who scored two runs while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Gustavo Duran, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Lebanon's win ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-2. As for J.P. McCaskey, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Lebanon will look to defend their home field on Friday against Palmyra at 4:15 p.m. As for J.P. McCaskey, they will head out on the road to take on Lampeter-Strasburg at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
