Volleyball Game Preview: Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles vs. Acalanes Dons

For the first time this season, Clayton Valley Charter will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Tuesday. They will look to defend their home court against the Acalanes Dons at 6:30 p.m. Clayton Valley Charter will be strutting in after a win while Acalanes will be coming in after a loss.

Clayton Valley Charter took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Benicia with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Ugly Eagles haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Clayton Valley Charter walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-20, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Acalanes didn't have quite enough to beat Pittsburg on Thursday and fell 3-2. The Dons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Acalanes was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Pittsburg work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 28-26, 22-25, 25-18, 15-11.

Acalanes' defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Clayton Valley Charter, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.
