Preview: Mendenhall Tigers vs. West Marion Trojans
The Mendenhall Tigers's road trip will continue as they head out to face the West Marion Trojans at 2:00 p.m. on January 15th. West Marion took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Mendenhall, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Mendenhall didn't have too much trouble with Forest on the road as they won 48-30.
Meanwhile, West Marion's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight loss. They took a serious blow against St. Patrick, falling 77-41. While losing is never fun, West Marion can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 278th, while St. Patrick is ranked 112th).
Mendenhall's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points per game. As for West Marion, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.
