Volleyball Recap: Andover Comes Up Short

Andover was the 2-0 winner over Maize when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Trojans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Tuesday. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maize was led to victory by Evelyn Tran and Tinley Travis. Tran had 11 digs and one assist, while Travis had nine digs and two assists. Those 11 digs gave Tran a new career-high.

Andover's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Maize, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Andover has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Arkansas City on the 9th. As for Maize, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against South on the 2nd.
