Volleyball Recap: Falkner Comes Up Short

Falkner was the 3-1 winner over Wheeler when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. Falkner came up short against Wheeler on Thursday, falling 3-0.

Falkner took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-17, 25-20.

Wheeler got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Savannah Hancock out in front who had 29 digs and one assist. Hancock has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last six times she's played. Ragan Owens was another key player, getting 23 digs.

Falkner's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Wheeler, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Falkner has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Jumpertown on the 27th. As for Wheeler, they are taking a road trip to square off against Biggersville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
