Canyon had won five straight home games dating back to last season and Gabriela Anna Etter did her part to make it six on Tuesday. The Cougars had just enough and edged out the Pieper Warriors 3-2 for which the team can thank Anna Etter, who had 32 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 15 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Canyon was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 19-25, 21-25, 25-13, 15-12.

Despite the loss, Pieper still got an impressive performance from Cayleigh Monson, who had ten digs and three aces.

Canyon's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Pieper, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-3.

Canyon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Clear Creek on the 21st. As for Pieper, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against United on the 22nd.
