Baseball Recap: Niceville Triumphs

With a playoff win on the line, Niceville rose to the challenge on Sunday. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Mosley Dolphins. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly four runs.

Aahron Geleta spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ethan Thomas was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

The victory made it two in a row for Niceville and bumps their season record up to 23-8. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Mosley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-9.

Coming up, Niceville will face off against Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mosley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
