Baseball Recap: Fairmont Prep Takes a Loss

Fairmont Prep had taken Avalon down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Huskies took a 15-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lancers. Even if the Huskies couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Brandon Kim made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Ryan Lee, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-2.

Fairmont Prep is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3. As for Avalon, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

While Fairmont Prep had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
