Varnum had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.9 runs) and they went ahead and made it 13 on Saturday. They never let the Konawa Tigers get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. The Whippets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Varnum pushed their record up to 19-5 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.5 runs over those games. As for Konawa, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-4.

Looking ahead, Varnum will welcome Allen at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Konawa, they will head out on the road to square off against Wayne at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
