Lakota East had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Springboro Panthers 3-0. This was payback for the Thunderhawks, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

While Lakota East won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-19, 28-26.

Springboro is on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Lakota East has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Milford on the 23rd. As for Springboro, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Sycamore on the 21st.
