Basketball Recap: Mohawk Area Takes a Loss

Mohawk Area was the 63-50 winner over South Range when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Mohawk Area Warriors took a 65-51 bruising from the South Range Raiders on Saturday. The Warriors were down 50-30 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Mohawk Area's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for South Range, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.

Mohawk Area and South Range should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in their respective state rankings. Mohawk Area (ranked 123rd) will meet Ellwood City (ranked 390th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, South Range will face off against Lakeview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 356 places (138 vs. 494).
