James Monroe waltzed into their match on Thursday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They came out on top against the Summers County Bobcats by a score of 56-47. This was payback for the Mavericks, who suffered a 63-60 loss the last time these two teams met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead James Monroe to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ava Dunlap, who posted 20 points and five boards. Those 20 points gave Dunlap a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Dunlap, who earned 18 points and three steals.

James Monroe pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.4 points per game. As for Summers County, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.
