Softball Game Preview: Sierra Timberwolves vs. Mountain House Mustangs

The Sierra Timberwolves will challenge the Mountain House Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sierra hasn't scored more than two runs for nine games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Sierra fell victim to Manteca and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 13-0 to the Buffaloes.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mountain House, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Oakdale by a score of 5-1 on Thursday.

Luna Lopez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Isabel Obaob was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Mountain House was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oakdale only posted a batting average of .154.

Mountain House's win bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Sierra, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.
