Volleyball Recap: McComb Takes a Loss

McComb lost against Lawrence County back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers fell 3-1 to the Cougars.

While McComb ultimately came up short, they really made Lawrence County work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 18-25, 25-23, 25-16.

Lawrence County found their leader in sophomore Kylee McLeod, who had eight digs and three aces.

McComb has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. As for Lawrence County, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

McComb has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Loyd Star on the 15th. As for Lawrence County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Salem on the 15th.
