Basketball Game Preview: Bellbrook Golden Eagles vs. Monroe Hornets

The Bellbrook Golden Eagles will square off against the Monroe Hornets at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Bellbrook challenged Chaminade Julienne Catholic on Tuesday. Bellbrook fell to Chaminade Julienne Catholic 56-52. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Monroe unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 49-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northwest.

Monroe's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6. As for Bellbrook, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.

Bellbrook beat Monroe 67-56 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Will Bellbrook repeat their success, or does Monroe have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
