Softball Recap: Lee Takes a Loss

Lee's last matchup with Abingdon could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Tuesday. The Generals came up short against the Falcons, falling 13-3. The Generals haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Lee saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Bledoe, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Allie Jones was another, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one stolen base.

Lee's loss dropped their record down to 8-5-1. As for Abingdon, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lee will take on Ridgeview at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Abingdon, they will square off against Eastside at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight.
