Basketball Recap: Whitmire Comes Up Short

Whitmire was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 46-17 loss at the hands of the Thornwell Saints. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Saints this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 35-29 back in January.

Whitmire lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Brooklynn Babb, who posted six points. Another player making a difference was Kaitlyn Brooks, who put up seven points.

Whitmire's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Thornwell, their win bumped their record up to 7-12.

As of now, neither Whitmire nor Thornwell have any future games scheduled.
