Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for North Hopkins

North Hopkins barely beat Campbell the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. North Hopkins' pitcher stepped up to hand Campbell a 29-0 shutout on Monday. The win was just business as usual for the Panthers, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Daylee Fite made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Furthermore, she didn't allow a single walk, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in February of 2024. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with six stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, North Hopkins got a massive performance out of Kaidance Godbolt, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Those four runs gave Godbolt a new career-high. Hadlee Hrabal was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

North Hopkins kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 13 hits in seven consecutive matches dating back to last season.

North Hopkins' victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Campbell, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: North Hopkins beat Campbell by a score of 22-0 on Tuesday.
