Volleyball Recap: Coral Gables Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Coral Gables waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Sunset Knights as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Cavaliers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 27-25, 25-14.

Coral Gables can attribute much of their success to Mariano Beytia, who had 16 assists and three digs. Those 16 assists gave Beytia a new career-high.

Coral Gables' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-5. As for Sunset, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Coral Gables has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Miami Beach on the 14th. As for Sunset, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Braddock on the 9th.
