Recap: Madill Wildcats vs. Sallisaw Black Diamonds
The Madill Wildcats fell victim to the Sallisaw Black Diamonds's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Black Diamonds 27-0. Madill was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Sallisaw apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Sallisaw can attribute much of their success to Brock Streun, who threw for 70 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
This is the second loss in a row for Madill and nudges their season record down to 2-8. As for Sallisaw, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.
Madill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sallisaw will head out on the road to face off against Cushing at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cushing is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
