Baseball Recap: Hernando Has No Trouble Against Citrus

Hernando barely beat Citrus the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Leopards blew past the Hurricanes 9-2 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Leopards.

Reagan Wilkes looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lucas Chafin, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Brody Hedick, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Hernando's record is now 2-0. As for Citrus, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hernando will face off against Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Citrus, they will square off against Vanguard at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
