Hoosier North Top Player Performances of the Week

Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Kole Wilcox Goes Supernova in North Judson-San Pierre Win

North Judson-San Pierre picked up their ninth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Kole Wilcox. Wilcox did his part (and then some), rushing for 123 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, and also picking up 75 receiving yards for the 'W'. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making nine total tackles.

Pioneer had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Wilcox it was a similar story. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Wilcox saw the Panthers), he rushed for 77 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 47 receiving yards.

A Season-Best Effort from Jesiah Mcdaniel Leads North Judson-San Pierre over Pioneer

On Friday, North Judson-San Pierre got the W thanks in part to Jesiah Mcdaniel playing the best football he has all season. Mcdaniel rushed for 165 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

Unfortunately for Pioneer, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Mcdaniel. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Mcdaniel saw the Panthers), he rushed for 130 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 84 yards and a touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes.

Pioneer Gets a Boost from Rans in 60-18 Defeat

Micah Rans's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his third-straight game with 115+ rushing yards. He rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 62 yards and a touchdown. Pioneer is undefeated when Rans posts 100 or more rushing yards, but 2-3 otherwise.

Rans might have his next game, a road matchup with Caston, circled on his calendar. Back in September (the last time Rans saw the Comets), he rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 21 yards and a touchdown.

Jabez Yarber's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Caston over Winamac

Caston is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7. Yarber and Caston will take on Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
