Softball Recap: Millbrook Takes a Loss

Millbrook was the 7-6 winner over Green Level when they last played one another back in March of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Millbrook Wildcats fell just short of the Green Level Gators by a score of 13-12 on Wednesday. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Nicole Drew made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 5-for-5 with three runs and one triple. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kayleigh Prather, who went 2-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

Drew wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Millbrook kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in four consecutive matchups.

Millbrook's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Green Level, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Millbrook didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-10 defeat against Heritage on the 18th. As for Green Level, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 11-7 loss against Panther Creek on the 13th.
