Soccer Game Preview: Wayne County vs. Gautier

The Wayne County War Eagles and the Gautier Gators will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Wayne County managed to keep up with Stone until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Wayne County came up short against Stone, falling 3-0. The War Eagles haven't had much luck with the Tomcats recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Gautier's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 2-0 to East Central.

Gautier's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-2-1. As for Wayne County, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.
