Basketball Recap: Venice Takes a Loss

Venice and Cleveland squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Venice had to settle for second. They took a 46-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Gondoliers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Venice's defeat dropped their record down to 7-23. As for Cleveland, their win bumped their record up to 9-17.

Venice does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cleveland, they will face off against George Washington Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. George Washington Prep will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Cleveland surely won't give up without a fight.
