Softball Recap: South Grand Prairie Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Wins at Home

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact South Grand Prairie can now relate to. They fell just short of the Plano East Panthers by a score of 5-3 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Warriors have suffered since March 1, 2024.

South Grand Prairie's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-10-1. As for Plano East, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-9 record this season.

While South Grand Prairie had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
