Baseball Recap: Buffalo Grove Takes a Loss

Buffalo Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Prairie Ridge Wolves. The Bison were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wolves from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Buffalo Grove saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Dudek, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Buffalo Grove's loss dropped their record down to 6-17-2. As for Prairie Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buffalo Grove will challenge Hersey at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The Huskies' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Bison's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Prairie Ridge, they will face off against Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
