Basketball Game Preview: Cristo Rey vs. Horizon Prep Lions

Having just played yesterday, Cristo Rey will head out on the road to face off against the Horizon Prep Lions at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cristo Rey is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Cristo Rey is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Logan Memorial Education Campus on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Cristo Rey was dealt a 75-43 loss at the hands of Logan Memorial Education Campus. Cristo Rey was down 57-32 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, Horizon Prep didn't have too much trouble with School for Entrepreneurship & Technology on Tuesday as they won 54-38.

Horizon Prep now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Cristo Rey, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Cristo Rey was able to grind out a solid victory over Horizon Prep when the teams last played back in November of 2023, winning 36-28. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cristo Rey since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
