Soccer Recap: Miami Country Day Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Oxbridge Academy, Miami Country Day was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Marathon Dolphins by a score of 3-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Spartans were the better team in the second half.

Brad Flick and David Frenkel scored all three of Miami Country Day's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Miami Country Day's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Marathon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Miami Country Day will be home for the holidays to greet Florida Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Florida Christian's last seven matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Marathon, they will venture away from home to face off against Key West at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Key West is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.2 goals per game this season.
