Basketball Recap: Pee Dee Academy Finds Playoff Glory Versus Calhoun Academy

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Pee Dee Academy had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They snuck past the Calhoun Academy Cavaliers with a 55-50 win.

Pee Dee Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Colby Richardson led the charge by putting up 19 points. Richardson's evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Bennett Causey, who to rack up 14 points.

Despite the loss, Calhoun Academy still got an impressive performance from Nick Lindsay, who en route to 19 points and eight boards. Crews Felder was another key player, posting 11 points.

Pee Dee Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. Calhoun Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 23-6.

Pee Dee Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-27 victory against Spartanburg Day on the 20th. Calhoun Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
